Boyz II Men of Philadelphia, was the first black group to have a record at the top of Billboard’s Hot One Hundred chart. For twelve consecutive weeks, “End of the Road” held first place and became the longest-running pop single–even breaking the record set by Elvis Presley. Their debut album, Cooleyhighharmony, went quadruple platinum.
